[FYI] fleaBay Premium Auction Board (copy version)

One of the easiest and most reliable auction boards around. This board was co-designed by someone running an auction. FYI has worked hard to make sure that you can run a successful auction with a very simplified setup!

Features include: setting date by yyyy-mm-dd and time, automatic money handling, warning all bidders automatically before auction close, and more!

The latest version uses only 2 prims and displays at most 8 digits of the highest bid.

Fleabay is an advanced and powerful auction board, designed to provide you and your customers with the best auction experience possible.

An auction board is designed to be as automated as possible. It automatically loads settings when you save the notecard and allows for changing settings while the auction is going (so you can change the reserve price, auction end time, auction end date, auction message, etc) during an auction. The highest bidder will not lose their bid.

fleaBay will automatically end your auction at the specified date and time, there is no need to figure out how many minutes until a specific date. Simply edit the notecard, type in the date and time, and click save, your auction will be ready to end at the time you typed in. The highest bid is also placed in big letters underneath the board.

As like all other auction boards, when someone is outbid, it refunds the person who got outbid. It also sends them an IM telling them they were out-bid with an SLURL to the location of the auction board.

Alongside this easy to use setup configuration, fleaBay offers many more options.

Everything is configured via the notecard. You may change the image by inputting a UUID (so you can get the image from someone else without having to deal with transferring images and using the build tool), or you may do it the old fashioned way with the build tool.

fleaBay is able to automatically give out items when the auction ends. You can give away one item, or a list of items (separated by comas), or all of a certain type of inventory item (like all objects, textures, landmarks), or any combination of those. For example, you could give away all objects in the auction board's inventory, and a landmark for your store or to where you're going to have your next successful auction.

You can control if everyone else can see the highest bidder's name (the highest price is always shown).

The board will optionally send you (the owner of the boad) and IM when a bid has been placed.

Optional automatic emailing of the owner when the auction ends, telling you which board went off, the high bid, and the high winner.

The final bid may be automatically split with another user. Simply input their key and the percent of the final bid they will get. It will automatically pay you and the other user as soon as the auction ends.

You can control the message on the hover text via the notecard.

The fastpay options are automatically updated when bids are received. You can control the increment that is displayed via the notecard. So, for example, if the high bid is $500, you can set the increment to be 100 lindens, and the fast pay buttons will be 600, 700, 800, and 900.

Custom payment options (not on the buttons) can be turned on or off. If it is enabled, and someone places a lower bet than should be placed, it will refund them and tell them they need to place a higher bid.

Finally, the auction board will keep track of everyone who placed a bid, when they placed it, and how much they put in. You can configure the board to automatically IM everyone who placed a bid a certain number of days before the auction ends. So, for example, if you have an auction ending on Feb 2nd, 2009, and you want to let everyone know 3 days in advanced that the auction is going to end, everyone will get an IM that placed a bid telling them the auction is almost over. As the owner of the board, you can see the bidding history by clicking on the panel and going into the admin menu.

These are the main features of fleaBay. There are many other fine touches (like SLURLS to the auction board sent to people via IMs when they are outbid on an item).

I have spent a long time creating an auction board that not only makes it easy to run an auction, but one that makes it easy for people to bid.

It supports giving away sounds, landmarks, objects, body parts, clothing, scripts, and notecards. Of course, you don't have to use it to auction off objects. You can also use it to auction off services. The board will tell you the winner of the auction. The board allows for multiple users with mod rights on your objects to run auctions and load config notecards. This allows other users to help you maintain and run your auctions! The card can be deleted by someone with mod-rights on your objects, and they can drop in a new one. Doing so will not reset an auction if it is still underway.
